The Centre for Postcolonial Studies has, along with its partners – Institut d’Etudes Transtextuelles et Transculturelles, 
Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3; Centro Studi Postcoloniali e di Genere, 
L’Università degli Studi di Napoli – L’Orientale; Centre for Concurrences in Colonial and Postcolonial Studies, 
Linnaeus University ; Research Platform Gender Studies: Identities – Discourses – Transformations, 
 Innsbruck University – been awarded 30,000 Euros by the French Agence Nationale de Recherche (ANR) to develop a European Research Network on ‘Europe in a Networked World’.

The participants in this network will be meeting regularly over the next year and half to develop an interdisciplinary project that will emphasize the role of immigrants and their descendants in Europe’s heterogeneous cultural life, thereby challenging homogenized and racialized conceptions of Europe and of European identity.
